GHANA TECH SUMMIT ANNOUNCES SPEAKERS FROM IBM, UBER, AND GOOGLE

Ghana  Tech Summit, a 12-year initiative of the Global Startup Ecosystem, recently announced its first set of the 25 speakers who will be in attendance. These speakers include execs from companies such as IBM, Uber, Google, LinkedIn, and the United Nations.  Black Enterprise  will also be joining the cohort set to take place in Accra, Ghana, West Africa,  July 18–20, 2018. This is the first time that Ghana has seen a tech summit of this magnitude.  “Entrepreneurs in emerging markets have the same capabilities as I do, but not the same direct access; as a result, assumptions are made about their ability to innovate, disrupt and inspire global markets,” said   Einstein Kofi Ntim, founder of Ghana Tech Summit. The summit is a part of an initiative to bring global leaders to  Ghana  to initiate partnerships and accelerate  Ghana  as an innovative tech hub in Africa. Before Dara Khosrowshahi became Uber's CEO last summer, he had been successfully leading over travel company Expedia for over a decade. In fact, he nearly turned down the executive role at Uber. "When I thought about Uber, and honestly at first when they called I said, 'No way, I'm doing great.
